English is not always English.
When it comes to computers, many small businesses in the UK never change the language settings on their PCs to British English as opposed to the default; American English.
As a result their spell checkers are about as useful as a chocolate fireguard and their websites, blogs, letters, emails and sales literature are littered with Americanisms.
This presents the impression that they are unprofessional and don’t pay attention to detail, which is really not a good impression if you want customers to trust you and have faith in your ability to deliver your promises.
Changing the language settings on your PC is not difficult. They need changing in two places; the operating system and in your software programmes.
Here are a few links that will take you through changing the language settings on your PC, step-by-step.
